SPORT IMMERSED IN THE NATURE OF TRENTINO
ITINERARIES IN THE WINTER LANDSCAPE of the snow-capped Dolomites
Ski itineraries
During your week’s skiing holiday you can try out a different itinerary every day: the Sella Ronda – which connects Canazei and Campitello to the Val Gardena, Val Badia and Arabba/Marmolada - or the Great War Tour taking you to the border between the Veneto and South Tyrol regions.
Less demanding but just as evocative is the Skitour Panorama: from Pozza di Fassa you can reach Alba di Canazei on skis, tackling the tricky black run, a very technical course with a difference in altitude of 660 metres and a maximum gradient of 46%.
Night time skiing
For the more romantic of you who wish to ski under the starry night sky or for those who never want to stop, or anyone who isn’t satisfied with daytime skiing, an absolute must is the Alloch slope at the Ski Stadium in Pozza di Fassa (open 2 evenings a week), a challenging black run, venue for numerous international slalom races, snowboarding and curving, where the most highly-rated national downhill skiing teams can be seen training. Every Monday the torchlight procession is held with ski instructors from the Ski Vajolet School.
Walking in the mountains
Who says that a winter holiday has to be spent skiing? It’s just as much fun to go walking in the mountains in winter! For non-skiers in Val di Fassa every day will be one of wonderful discoveries in the landscapes of the Kingdom of King Laurin:
- snowshoe excursions
- hiking
- Nordic walking
- ice-skating
